LAS VEGAS (Part 2)

LAS VEGAS (Part 2)

Activities in Las Vegas

In this blog, I'll chronicle my activities in Las Vegas day by day. There are many activities to pick from in Las Vegas; therefore, in order to have a nice time, you must decide what works best for you and what you want to experience. If you want to visit a lot of things and watch a lot of shows, you should stay for a few days, preferably a week, but if that is not possible, you may do what I did and stay for three nights.

To begin, I researched what I wanted to do and read tips and reviews from other bloggers before taking this vacation. That is something I always do before going on a trip so that I can plan what I want to do when I get there beforehand and I don’t get overwhelmed with options. We were lucky enough to book all of our hotels along the STRIP, so getting around was a breeze. I must remark that there is just as much to see outside the strip as there is inside the numerous hotels. So, as an expedition, I would recommend going into the various hotels and seeing what they have to offer.

DAY 1

We arrived in Vegas at lunchtime from Arizona, giving us plenty of time to check into our hotel and organize our day's activities. We grabbed brunch and then went shopping in their mall. Moving around was not difficult because we had a car. When we got back, I changed and went for a walk around the Excalibur. I stepped into the New York Hotel and looked around. I recorded numerous films and photographs to ensure that I had thoroughly captured everything.

Then I exited the New York hotel and walked through the streets, where there were many activities taking place. On the NY bridge, a band was getting ready to play so I stood there for a while to enjoy some music then returned to my hotel since I was tired from sitting in the car for long hours. I had a little nap afterward.

Then refreshed and got out for late dinner at Mott 32. We were dressed up and this is when having a car becomes handy on a trip like this. If you want to know all about the dinner, then head over to my previous blog to read all about it. This restaurant was inside the Palazzo hotel so after eating, we had the opportunity to look around for a while before we left for our hotel. We didn’t do much since we were both tired and wanted to go to bed early.

DAY 2

We got ready on day 2 and headed to the Venatian hotel. We drove to the gondola ride station after settling into the hotel. There are two stations of the gondola rides, the indoor and outdoor one. And if you go earlier around 9:30 am, you will see the riders sing a beautiful song to start the day which was very beautiful to watch.

I made new friends with a couple who came to Vegas on their honeymoon from London, and the lady who paddled us was quite interesting and entertaining. She sang so many fantastic love songs on our gorgeous voyage. She really had a good voice, so I did enjoy the ride. The ride was about 13-15 mins and I think it is worth the experience if you are adventurous like myself. It is like having the Italian experience without having to travel to Italy, definitely saves time and money, hahaha. I still would love to go to Italy anyway someday.

After that, we went to brunch and did a lot of luxury shopping this time. I purchased some items that I couldn't locate online and was quite pleased with. Chanel, Dior, Hermes, YSL, and Valentino were among the stores I visited. It's well worth saving money to do some high-end shopping in Vegas. I have added a sneak peek into some of the items I got. The past week has been very tiring so I couln’’t show them to you but I promise to unbox them when I am ready to use them. I returned to my hotel room after shopping for a few moments of sleep.

After resting for around thirty minutes, I started walking again. I had already made a reservation for the High Roller Observation Wheel, so I went there for my turn, and wow, what a view from a height of roughly 500 feet. I was first afraid to get in, but it securely holds you in, making it a really safe ride. I had planned to ride the roller coaster, but I lacked the courage to do so, so I passed. If you're afraid of heights, the wheel is the greatest option.

On my way back, I stopped in front of the Bellagio Fountain, which was across from the Paris Hotel, and shot a few photos. Then I went into the Cosmopolitan Hotel to see what they had to offer. This day involved a lot of walking, but it was well worth it. Always be alert of your surroundings, since it is a busy city with many people with both good and malicious intentions. I took the entire walking tour by myself, so I was always aware when I was alone

From there, I walked to the Paris Hotel. The outside was stunning, but once inside, it was like entering another country. The decoration is exquisite and fascinating. I was pretty taken aback by how the inside appeared to be outside. The decoration is even more brilliant in the Paris hotel. You have the feel of being in France while in the US. Definitely intriguing.

Inside the Cosmopolitan hotel was very interesting. It has hanging chandeliers all over the lobby. It was quite not my aesthetic so I did not spend much time there.

I next proceeded to the Ceasor's Hotel, a lovely establishment. It is home to the majority of well-known designer stores. With all the statues, the Ceasor's hotel felt like a true castle. I don't know how else to describe it except as a gorgeous structure.

I returned to the hotel exhausted and decided to take a nap. After that, I showered and dressed for the evening. We got tickets to see the Australian Bee Gees perform at the Excalibur hotel concert room. So we ate dinner at the hotel's Italian restaurant before heading to the Concert Hall. Although the event was not the genuine Bee Gees, but rather impersonations of them, this band performed admirably. We danced a lot as they performed new and old songs from the Bee Gees albums. I had a lot more fun and enjoyed myself than I expected when we booked the concert. It was fantastic. Everyone who knows me knows I love a good music so that was worth the time and money. We came back to the hotel and rested for the next day.

DAY 3

We arrived at the Bellagio hotel on the third day. After brunch at Saddles Cafe, we spent some time looking around the hotel's interior decorations. The botanical garden, the gorgeous decorations, and all the beautiful colors and butterflies on the ceilings I must admit, out of all the hotels I've stayed in, their bedroom is not my first pick, but I'll give them an A + on the walkway and lobby decorations. They looked stunning.

We decided to drive downtown Vegas away from the Strip after our walk in the hotel, and then I remembered I hadn't been to the Golden Nugget hotel, which was outside of the Strip, so we stopped to see the place. It is well known for the aquarium in its swimming pool. which I thought was cool to watch some fish in their aquarium while swimming in the pool. On our way back we passed through Treasure Island, Flamingo, Wynn, and other hotels but we did not stop to explore the inside of these hotels. I will keep them for my next trip. We also passed through the small churches where people go to be wed and the most prominent casino center.

When we returned, we changed into our swimwear and went to relax by the poolside. I did not get into the water but sure had a good time lying in the sun and reading a book. I spent about an hour there and rushed to my room to take a shower.

After that, we prepared ourselves for dinner. We had hoped to take a night helicopter trip, but they were all booked up. So, on our last night, we went to the STRAT hotel's Top of the World restaurant for a late dinner in order to recreate the same experience. And it was truly magical. It is important to make reservations for restaurants, particularly formal and fancy ones, at least a day ahead of time to ensure that you will be seated. It was beautiful to watch the sunset over Vegas on height while they prepare to get our table ready.

By the time we were ready for dinner, it was already late, and watching all the light-up over the city was amazing.

I had a terrific night at the STRAT hotel.
A few items I did not get to do but wish I would include going into the Big Apple Roller Coaster which looked scary. It is located in the New York Hotel just by the Excalibur hotel. It is a massive roller coaster but I couldn’t gather the courage to do it. It looks fun from afar.

The next place I wanted to visit but totally forgot about it is the seven colorful mountains. It really looked good in pictures and wanted to learn more about it but totally forgot about it. Definitely saving it for my next visit.

I received numerous compliments on whichever clothing I wore probably because I wasn’t dressing like most of the ladies there. I have a very classic style, hence I did not let the atmosphere influence how I dressed. I wish I could tell you more about my clothing, but that's a topic for another day. Check out 'β€˜MY WARDROBE," as I link all of my new purchases to my closet there.

Despite the fact that casinos were everywhere, I did not enter any of them because gambling is not my thing, and nothing persuaded me to do so. Not to say if you enjoy it don’t do it, I am just not a fan of gambling. Thank you so much for reading and taking the ride with me. To know more about hotels and restaurants, read my previous blog which I have linked here.

I hope these tips and activities will serve as a guide for you on your first or next trip to Vegas.
