LAS VEGAS (Part 1)

Hotels and Restaurants in Las Vegas

There is so much to talk about concerning my trip to Las Vegas, hence I am going to write it in two parts. In the first part, I would like to recommend hotels, restaurants, and food types to try while in Vegas based on my trip. Then the second part will be all the entertainment and sightseeing ideas to check out in Vegas.

You should select a hotel near the STRIP for the best experience and easy access to places. We had three nights in Vegas, and because we wanted to have diverse hotel experiences, we had three hotels scheduled for each night. All of the hotels had a variety of restaurants, bars/nightlife, casinos (if you were interested), pool areas, spas, fitness/gym sections, shopping areas, and a variety of concerts to offer.

  1. THE EXCALIBUR HOTEL

The first is the Excalibur hotel which is quite a middle-class hotel but quite comfortable for the trip. The next two were more luxurious hotels which were the Bellagio hotel and the Venetian hotel. I will not recommend you to be changing hotels but since I wanted to share with you based on my experiences that’s why I thought I needed to be in these hotels to be able to discuss it with you.

The Excalibur is ideal for those on a tight budget. The outside resembles a Disney castle, which is visually appealing. There were also a few shops there. We ate in a modest Johnny Rocket Hamburger place when we arrived because we were exhausted and didn't want to change and go somewhere more formal.

Then, in the evening, we headed to the Mott 32, a modern Hong Kong restaurant with a New York vibe inside the Palazzo hotel.

They serve some truly interesting Chinese, Korean and Japanese cuisines, and I thoroughly liked my meal. With all the dark lighting and soft background music, the atmosphere was quite lovely.

I would recommend their spicy chicken to you, but if you don't like spice, one-pot chicken with no spice is also available.

2. VENETIAN HOTEL

The Venetian/Palazzo hotel is the next hotel I would recommend. It is a luxurious resort with beautiful designs both inside and outside.

The Venetian/Palazzo hotels are different hotels but together at the same time. I would recommend the Venetian though since I have experienced it. This hotel combines French and Italian design elements. The lobby is stunning and fabulous.

Their room is beautiful and luxurious. They really scream royalty. They come with very comfortable beds and a beautiful sitting area separated from the bed. If you are lucky to get a higher elevation room, then it is amazing to see Vegas from a height which we did. The bathrooms are very exceptionally clean and smell really good.

This is where most of the designer stores are located. I went shopping here for a while. I had a gondola trip appointment in the morning, which I will discuss in greater detail in Part 2 of my blog.

There are many fancy restaurants at the Venetian. We had brunch at Bouchon, a French restaurant that serves Thomas Keller's bistro food. This restaurant is very fancy and very French. Brunch was lovely and delicious.

We went back to the Excalibur for dinner in the evening because we had a show in their concert room. I'll talk more about the show in part 2. Buca di Beppo, an Italian family restaurant, was the name of the restaurant we went to. They serve really large portions of food. And their food tastes so good.

We had a delicious supper of mixed green salads and chicken parmesan over here. After that, we went for a short walk through the shops before heading into the theater for the show.

3. BELLAGIO HOTEL

We transferred to the Bellagio hotel the next morning, which was an amazing experience. A five-star hotel with all of the modern conveniences.

The Bellagio's architecture is stunning, and the lobby is decorated with flowers to resemble a botanical garden.

The Bellagio is also known for its Lake Como-themed fountain that surrounds the hotel. That is so beautiful to watch.

I went shopping in the morning and then had brunch at Sadelle's CafΓ©, which had an unusually exceptional furnished interior. I had garden-fried eggs, toast, and orange juice for breakfast.

Excellent service, excellent reception, and excellent cuisine. Not to mention the vibrant colors used in this establishment. In her castle, I felt like a princess. Following that, we had a tour of the botanical garden, which was undergoing repairs at the time.

We made it to the pool after the tour to unwind a little before our next activity. We had a late dinner reservation at the STRAT hotel's Top of the World Restaurant later that evening.

We thought this would be an excellent option to replace the helicopter trip because we couldn't get a decent date for one, and it didn't disappoint. We planned a late dinner to capture Vegas at night and from a high vantage point.

The restaurant was quite romantic and lovely. The food was amazing and delectable. As a side, I ordered steak and green beans. The portions were pretty enormous for a person, which I expected given their entrΓ©e prices. I believe it was worthwhile due to the cuisine and view.

One of the main points I would want to emphasize is that you should hire a car to get around if possible. Parking is pricey, but that's to be expected in Vegas. Despite the fact that we had a car, I accomplished most of the activities I'll cover in the second part of the blog by walking.  Make sure to take sunscreen if you plan to walk a lot and water to hydrate. Most of these fancy restaurants have dress codes hence it is important to check when booking. I hope I've given you enough ideas for your first or next trip to Vegas.

Xo,

Naomi.
